A.D.B. Japan Scholarship Program

If you are a students from any A.D.B. country you have the opportunity to acquire degree programs in economics, management, science, and technology through this scholarship. The A.D.B. scholarship takes care of tuition fees, monthly allowance, housing allowance, health insurance, and transport costs.

This scholarship is available to citizens of the following countries/areas:

Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kiribati, Kyrgyz Republic, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Maldives, Marshall Islands, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nauru, Nepal, Niue, Pakistan, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Turkmenistan, Tuvalu, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu, Viet Nam.

The ADB–Japan Scholarship Program (ADB–JSP) enrolls about 300 students annually in academic institutions located in 9 countries within the Region. These countries are Hong China, Japan, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, USA. Upon completion of their study programs, scholars are expected to contribute to the economic and social development of their home countries.

Beneficiaries of the ADB-JSP scholarship receive full tuition fees, monthly subsistence allowance (including housing), books and instructional materials, medical insurance, and travel expenses.

Scholars who are engaged in research may receive a special grant for thesis preparation. In special circumstances, computer literacy, preparatory language and other similar courses may be covered under the scholarship.
