Oxford Kobe Scholarships for Japanese Students
The Oxford Kobe Scholarships offers opportunities for nationals of Japan to pursue any full-time or part-time graduate course at Oxford. The scholarships have been funded by a donation to St. Catherine’s College. This is an opportunity for Japanese students to study with funded assistance in one of the best universities in the world.
For beneficiaries the scholarships cover course fees and a grant for living costs. Awards cover the full duration of fee liability for the agreed course. Applicants are expected to return home after their study to apply the knowledge acquired as a result of the scholarship. They are not expected to have any intentions to stay back in Great Britain to exercise the skills obtained during the scholarship. You have greater chances of being selected for the scholarship if you show that you have plans to return to your home country after the scholarship.
One of the scholarships will only be tenable at St Catherine’s College. Every qualified candidate will be considered for this scholarship, irrespective of which college (if any) you state as your preference on the graduate application form. However, beneficiaries will be transferred to St Catherine’s College where they will take up the scholarship.
Note that this is an annual scholarship so if you miss the current one you monitor the scholarship website to know when the next opportunity will open.
