Scholarships at Miami University
International students have the opportunity to study at Miami University with scholarship opportunities. Miami University offers highly competitive scholarships for international students. All new first-year undergraduate international students who submit completed applications and meet the requirements for full admission for fall semester are automatically considered for the International Education Scholarship and University Merit Scholarship. International transfer students will be considered for the transfer scholarship opportunities at the time of admission.
Deadlines vary by scholarship program. All scholarships are awarded at the time of admission to Miami.

International Education Scholarship
The International Education Scholarship program at Miami University offers renewable merit-based scholarships for outstanding international applicants. International Education Scholarship awards can vary from $1,000 to $8,000 per year.
University Merit Scholarship
All international students who have equivalent U.S. grade point averages of 3.50 (or equivalent) or higher are also considered for merit-based scholarships. Scholarship amounts are determined by the academic records, test scores, and other factors received by Miami at the time of application.
Presidential Fellows Program
The Presidential Fellows Program is a highly competitive scholarship available for 15 top students in the Honors College per year. It covers tuition, fees, housing, and meals, and includes a $5,000 academic enrichment stipend.
#YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship
The #YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship is for very bright international students with a vision for enhancing intercultural understanding. As a participating institution in this program, Miami will award two annual, renewable scholarships covering a minimum of 50 percent of the cost of tuition.
To be eligible for this scholarship you must be an admitted international applicant to Miami. An international applicant is an individual who holds citizenship in a country outside the United States and who does not also possess U.S. citizenship or permanent residency. Interested candidates must also demonstrate interest and personal initiative in activities involving intercultural learning and exchange.
This is an annual scholarship. Application deadline is January 1 while deadline to accept your admission offer is May 1.
