Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme

The Oxford-Weidenfeld and Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme provides opportunity for international students to study in one of the best universities in the world. The scholarship was established in 2015 after generous donations were received from multiple donors to mark the 95th birthday of Lord Weidenfeld.

Aim

The Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme primarily offers outstanding university graduates and professionals from developing and emerging economies who are having challenges supporting the costs of their education with the opportunity to pursue fully-funded graduate studies at the University of Oxford. Recipients of these scholarships also go through a comprehensive program that includes leadership development, long-term mentoring, and networking. The leadership development programme is a wonderful addition to this scholarship opportunity.

What does the scholarship cover?

The scholarship covers 100% course fees. Beneficiaries also get a grant for living costs of at least £19,237. The scholarship also covers the full cost of the individual Leadership Programme for one person.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates must:

• be applying to begin a new full-time graduate course at Oxford;
• be intending to return to their country of ordinary residence after completing your course;
• be able to demonstrate a connection between the subject of they studied and their longer-term career objectives. As a candidate you should outline how you see your professional work contributing to the improvement of public life in your country of origin or at a wider regional or international level;
• fulfill the requirements for a master’s dress programme at the University;
• have successfully been offered a place in your chosen course.

Application Process

• First, select the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme in the scholarships section of the University’s graduate application form.
• Next, submit your application for graduate study by the relevant December or January deadline for your course.
• You must also complete a Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships Statement and upload it alongside your graduate application form by the deadline.
