Award:

About Bursary:

The CHIETA bursary scheme is aimed at young South Africans interested in pursuing careers in the chemical industry. Whether you plan to study at a public Further Education and Training (FET) or Higher Education and Training (HET) institution, CHIETA provides financial assistance for tuition and books, subject to availability of funds within the range of R30,000 to R45,000 per learner per year.

Additionally, bursars may be eligible for top-up bursary allowances from other sources or the CHIETA if funding is available.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this bursary a candidate Must fulfil all of the following criteria:

South African citizen

Between 16 and 35 years old

Completed Matric

Studying full time within one of the aforementioned fields of study

Studying at a recognised and accredited public tertiary institution in South Africa

Department of Water & Sanitation Bursary

The Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) was formed in 1912, when it was initially known as the Department of Irrigation. On completion of their studies, bursary recipients will be required to join the Water Learning Academy for up to 3 years.
