The Bachelor of Health Care in Nursing is a course that prepares students for a successful career in the healthcare field. The program helps candidate develop essential nursing skills through a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical experience. Students engage in hands-on training and have opportunities for clinical placements, ensuring they are equipped to provide high-quality patient care upon graduation.

Graduates can pursue careers as registered nurses (RNs), nurse practitioners, healthcare administrators, or clinical educators. Acquiring this degree will get you qualified for various opportunities in hospitals, community health organizations, and other healthcare settings, contributing to patient wellness and healthcare delivery.

The scholarships for tuition fee paying bachelor’s degree students are granted based on Finnish language skills and can only be granted for an attending student. Jamk does not offer scholarship for the first year students.

Bachelor’s students can apply for a scholarship at earliest after their first academic year. The requirement for the first scholarship is Finnish language skills level A2 (CEFR, Basic user). The first scholarship is 4000 €.

After their second academic year the students can apply for the second scholarship (at the earliest). The requirement for the second scholarship is Finnish language skills level B1 (CEFR, Independent User). The second scholarship is 6000 €.

Only National Certificates of Language Proficiency (YKI) is accepted to prove the level of Finnish language skills.
