If you are a Nigerian and you are interested in studying at the University of London, this scholarship opportunity might be your gateway to achieving that dream. The Centre of African Studies at the University of London UK is offering Nigerians opportunity to benefit from the Leventis Fellowship 2023. The study would take place at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. This is a collaborative research scholarship funded by the Leventis foundation.
Deadline for the application is 31st March 2023 and this is an annual scholarship scheme. This scholarship is for Nigerians. The Leventis Fellowship is offered in libraries and archives. Beneficiaries would participate in the intellectual life of the Centre as part of the programme.
Leventis Foundation’s basic aim of funding Leventis Fellowship is focused on the field of libraries and archives and wants to assist younger scholars in developing their research interests in these areas and to participate in the intellectual life of the Center. This fellowship is for three months and Nigerian academics are eligible to apply for it. The scheme could be very relevant for scholars who are reworking their PhD thesis into publishable form. Applications could be sent by post. This is a fellowship research programme.
Interested persons are expected to apply for the fellowship using the online form and they should also forward the following documents: A complete curriculum vitae (maximum 2 pages); A statement of their current research interests (of not more than 1,000 words) specifying the aims they intend to achieve during the research period in London; and One academic reference letter accompanying the application.
Applicant should have a gmail account as that is the only channel through which they should submit the documents required from them (including references). So you must have a gmail account if you are interested in this scholarship.
All applications submitted for this fellowship would be considered by a Steering Committee in London. The committee will send emails to the applicants notifying them of decision on their applications after the deadline of 31 March.
