How to Apply:

Here is a guide on how to complete the application form for University of Bristol Scholarships.

You will notice that there is no save function on the application platform so you MUST try to complete the application form in one session. Know that once you select ‘submit’ it is final, and you won’t have the opportunity to effect any changes to the application.

Applicants will need to make the following available:

  • your UCAS ID (if you’re an undergraduate student), Student ID (for a postgraduate student or for those that applied through the Global Transfer Programme) or Kaplan ID (if you’re a KICL student)
  • the course or programme of study which you already applied to (to be qualified to win the scholarship you must have applied to a course or programme).
  • your name
  • your email address (which is the channel the university will use to communicate with you, so you have to make sure this is accurate and you have access to it throughout the year)
  • your nationality
  • your permanent country of residence (which refers to the country where you are ordinarily resident in, not the country where you live only for the purpose of full-time education)
  • the most recent or current educational institution which you attend or attended
  • details of any other funding you have applied for or are due to receive.

Application questions

Applicants are required to complete three questions. Response to each question should be a maximum word count of 200 words and each question is worth 10 marks. Undergraduate and postgraduate applicants have different questions to answer. You have to be sure you have selected the correct level of study to answer the relevant questions for your application. Applicants who have not responded to the correct questions will not be considered.

  2. The University of Bristol is looking for scholars who will use their time at Bristol to make the most of opportunities and realise their potential. Applicants are expected to provide explanation about their future goals and how your chosen course at Bristol will support the candidate to ‘think big’ and achieve them.’ You are expected to explain what has attracted you to study at the University of Bristol, as well as outlining your next steps towards your career goals.

Postgraduate

  1. University of Bristol wants to support the brightest and best individuals who will make active contributions to the development of their nation in the future. Applicants will be required to describe any special attributes or accomplishments that they think make them deserving of a scholarship. Such attributes could be any academic or extracurricular achievements, as well as why they are applying for a scholarship.
  2. University of Bristol is looking for scholars who will be great ambassadors for the University. To have more chances of winning the application you need to give an example of when you have recently contributed to your community. Such example could be your school or university, where you live, or any other community you feel a part of.
