The Amelia Woodvine Hunter Memorial Scholarship is one of the opportunities available to interested candidates to study nursing in the best schools in the world. This scholarship is presented annually to one student in Year 3 or 4 of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program and to one student in the Bachelor of Social Work Program who show interest in the field of mental health and who show potential for excellence in the delivery of mental health care to individuals and families. The award recognizes the value of inter-professional teamwork of social workers and nurses in providing high quality mental health service. In offering this scholarship, the family of Amelia Woodvine are particularly concerned about the general area of postpartum mood disorders as they impact the lives of women and their families.

The scholarship is domiciled in Thompson Rivers University, Canada. Successful candidates will be eligible to study in the School of Nursing, or School of Social Work and Human Services. They will enroll for Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Social Work.
