Oxford-Nuffield Tony and Judith Atkinson Graduate Scholarship
The Oxford-Nuffield Tony and Judith Atkinson Graduate Scholarship offers funding assistance to international students who wish to further their studies in the departments of Economics, Politics and Sociology. This scholarship is available for interested candidates who are applying to a full or part-time graduate course in the departments of Economics, Politics and Sociology. In the selection process, preference will be given to students in the field of inequality and poverty studies.
The Oxford-Nuffield Tony and Judith Atkinson Graduate Scholarship is jointly funded by the University of Oxford and Nuffield College, and by generous donations from Lady (Judith) Atkinson and other donors. It is named in honour of Sir Tony Atkinson, a former Warden of Nuffield College who was a distinguished economist and a pioneer in the study of inequality within economics.
For beneficiaries the scholarship covers course fees and a grant for living costs. Awards are made for the full duration of fee liability for the agreed course.
Note that the scholarship is only tenable at Nuffield College. All qualified candidates will be considered for this scholarship, irrespective of which college (if any) they state as their preference on the graduate application form. However, beneficiaries will be transferred to Nuffield College where they will undertake the scholarship.
