About the Centre: The Centre for Proteomic and Genomic Research (CPGR) is a non-profit organisation, formed in 2006 and located in Cape Town, South Africa. The CPGR was formed from an initiative by the South African Department of Science and Innovation (DSI) and financially supported by the Technology Innovation Agency (TIA).

CPGR has a team of exceptional scientists who are committed to finding technical and scientific solutions for all genomic and proteomic projects under strict quality management principles. The Bursary: The Centre for Proteomic and Genomic Research (CPGR), bursary is available for Postgraduate degree studies (BTech, BSc Hons, MSc, PhD) in these fields:

  • Genetics/ Human Genetics
  • Medical Biochemistry
  • Medical Bioscience
  • Microbiology/ Biochemistry
  • Molecular/ Cell Biology

Award: The bursary makes available full or partial cover for the following expenses: registration fees, tuition fees and prescribed materials. It also covers students for the entire duration of the registered degree programme, on condition that the bursary recipient passes all registered subjects and abides by the rules of the CPGR bursary contract.
